Job Summary
The Applications Engineer will collaborate with Business Development and Project Management teams to produce engineering designs, detailed specifications of assembled solutions, PFDs, P&IDs and complete engineering packages/documentations for Conceptual, Budgetary and Firm proposals.
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with Business Development and Project Management teams to produce detailed engineering designs for water treatment systems.
- Develop and deliver complete engineering packages and documentation, including PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and other relevant technical documentation for proposals.
- Support the creation of Conceptual, Budgetary, and Firm proposals for industrial water treatment projects.
- Prepare and review technical specifications for assembled solutions.
- Work with software tools such as CAD for system design and modeling.
- Assist in the development of cost estimations for projects, ensuring feasibility and efficiency.
- Maintain close communication with customer teams to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and specifications.
- Support and drive continuous improvement within the team by identifying best practices, sharing knowledge, and accepting constructive feedback.
- Ensure all work meets high standards of quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience working with industrial water treatment systems.
- Knowledge of biological waste treatment processes, including activated sludge, SBR, and MBR, is a plus.
- Familiarity with produced water treatment is a plus.
- Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of water treatment software such as French Creek, Proton, ROS, BioWin, and Wave is desirable.
- Strong understanding of cost estimation and project development processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Strong collaborative skills, with a proactive approach to teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent grasp of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
