Job Summary

The Vice President of Water Treatment Technology will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company’s water treatment technology development, implementation, optimization, and customer value propositions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, leadership skills, and significant commercial and customer facing skills to ensure our company remains at the forefront of water treatment innovation and delivering value to customers.

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support sales and business development in technical solutions and value proposition to customers.
  • Cultivate and maintain key customer subject matter experts through regular relational meetings and information sharing.
  • Provide technical expertise and risk management in key business development opportunities.
  • Lead the development and execution of our technology strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives and market trends.
  • Oversee research and development projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely delivery of innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into existing products and services.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and industry best practices in water treatment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including research institutions, technology partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, scientists, and technicians.
  • Evaluate and recommend potential acquisitions or partnerships to enhance our technological capabilities.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and events, presenting our technological innovations and thought leadership.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to communicate the value of our technologies to clients and prospects.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental and safety regulations in technology development and implementation.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand and walk on concrete and uneven surfaces
  • Able to sit while operating a computer for an extended period
  • Able to push, pull, lift, carry maximum weight 50lbs, repetitive wrist and hand movements

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in water treatment technology, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successful technology development and commercialization in the water treatment industry.
  • Key customer relationships in multiple vertical markets.
  • Strong understanding of various water treatment processes, including physical, chemical, and biological methods.
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as membrane filtration, advanced oxidation, and smart water systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in managing budgets, resources, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards
