Job Summary

The Operations Accountant will embed within one of XRI’s active operating divisions and working with the senior finance and operations teams. Key functions will include forecasting, planning and tracking the financial and operational performance of the division. Monitor and measure the division’s performance vs budget and assist with revenue accruals and cost tracking on a monthly basis. Collect division performance data and develop analysis that will provide senior leadership with both historical context and forward-looking projections. The Operations Accountant will play a key role in monthly financial reporting and internal financial controls. This individual will also be an important contributor to XRI’s operational and financial process improvement initiatives.

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform detailed financial analysis, including collecting operational data, charting historical trends, and forecasting future activity 
  • Prepare analysis of revenue and costs, and key performance indicators within the division and assist senior management with identifying impactful ways to interpret and act on the data
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to compile and provide division information that is critical to a timely, monthly financial close
  • Be a key participant in company-wide initiatives to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Track variances between budgeted financial projections and actual results to identify and troubleshoot differences and recommend adjustments or improvements
  • Compile and maintain management reports to present critical information to the leadership team
  • Assist operations and financial audit team to ensure that division financial reporting, operations, and transactions comply with organizational and regulatory financial policies, standards, and controls 
  • Effectively interface with all departments including operations, logistics, and maintenance teams as needed to collect and prepare data

  • Effectively coordinate and communicate internally across Company’s operating sectors and practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related quantitative field
  • 2+ years of related experience preferred
  • Proficient computer skills weighted toward quantitative modeling platforms (such as Excel data manipulation with XLOOKUP, VLOOPUP, Macros, SUMIFs, Index, Match, etc)
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite preferred
  • Must be analytical, have a high level of attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment
